tepunuiotoka

All media attending Te Pūnuiotoka must apply for accreditation through this process. The Chair of Ngāi Tuahuriri as representative of mana whenua will have oversight of the accreditation process.

Please complete the form below no later than 14 October. Once received, applications will be considered, and you will be notified whether you have been granted media accreditation. There will be no on-site accreditation.

Accredited media

All accredited media are required to attend the pōhiri at 8.45am. The reason for this is so that the correct tikanga and protocols on the marae are followed and not disrupted. Please arrive with plenty of time before the pōhiri.

Media will be asked to watch the speakers from either a media specific area or spill-over area, as priority is being given to iwi and hapū in the main marquee. We will provide detail of the allocated space closer to the event.

A media stand-up with Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu Kaiwhakahaere, Justin Tipa, and potentially a selection of speakers and iwi leaders will be organised to occur between 12pm and 1pm. This standup is being provided to streamline media access to speakers and leaders and minimise disruption to the event. We ask that Media prioritise this opportunity to capture interview content. The exact time and location of this stand-up will be confirmed with accredited media closer to the event. Following the media standup, we will kindly ask the media to do their reporting away from the main hui area.

Video footage highlights and photos will be made available to the media following the event.

Media accreditation is subject to your acceptance of the terms and conditions below.
